Most founder-led businesses stall for the same reason. The business grew, the org chart grew, and the owner still makes every decision that matters. There are managers on paper. There isn’t a leadership team.

The Leadership Briefing is written for that specific problem.

What it is

Two things, both designed rather than typed.

  1. The Weekly Briefing: One idea, one standard, one question. Three minutes.
  2. The Monthly Deep Dive: A ten-to-twelve page document: a business focus, a book broken down properly, a data page and a leadership scorecard you can score your own team against.

Three pillars

  1. Leadership: Delegation, accountability, building the leadership layer, difficult conversations, developing managers.
  2. High Performance: Standards, habits, focus, execution, energy — the individual before the team.
  3. Business Ownership: Strategy, the numbers, owner hours, and building a business that runs without you.

Whatever the pillar, every issue resolves to behaviour. Principle, then behaviour, then result. If a piece ends in theory, it doesn’t go out.

The Leadership Question

Every weekly issue closes with a single question and an invitation to answer it. Not a poll. Not a link. A question worth sitting with — and a reply that starts a real conversation.

Readers do reply. Those replies decide what the monthly goes deep on.

Who it’s for

Owners and managing directors of established businesses — the ones who have built something that works and hit the ceiling of what they can personally hold. Senior leaders being developed into that role are welcome too.

It is not a newsletter for people who want motivation.

On sources

Every statistic is named, dated and cited, with its original qualifier intact, and every one comes with what it actually means for your business. If we can’t cite it, we don’t print it.
